The Booze Binky – Beer Funnies #2
Binge drinking 1920′s style. Plugging a pacifier into a keg was a common gag used by illustrators to depict over indulgence during this era. I have a few more to pass along in the coming months. This is either a … Continue reading -

Sour Beer at the Jug Shop
I think I’ll be a regular at the Jug Shop in Nob Hill. They offer a steady stream of quality beer tastings and I dropped in for the first time on Friday for part one of their Sour Beer Fest. I’ve only … Continue reading -

An Evening with Simply Beer at the Elizabeth Street Brewery
I slogged my way uphill to reach the Elizabeth Street Brewery tucked away in the quite Noe Valley neighborhood of San Francisco. It’s a homebrew hot spot gaining in notoriety ever since Richard Brewer-Hay opened his garage door seven years … Continue reading -

Drunken Stupidity is Timeless – Beer Funnies #1
I’ve been cobbling together a small collection of vintage postcards from the pre-prohibition era to the 1960’s and decided to launch a new series called Beer Funnies. The cards range from political satire to simple frat boy humor while offering … Continue reading -

In My Spare Time
My spare time is immersed in the history of beer, trolling Ebay for Breweriana, searching out breweries and taprooms, and attending craft beer dinners. I no longer reach for the familiar bottle, but make a point of buying something new … Continue reading

Environmental Manager / Chrysler Transport
As environmental manager at Chrysler Transport I was responsible for maintaining the ISO 14001 quality system at three transport terminals. This program tracked and maintained Chrysler Transport's waste streams to ensure that federal and state regulations were being met and goals were set to reduce waste. This program was audited annually by Chrysler and a third party in order to maintain certification. During the course of my tenure certification was maintained and waste reduction goals were consistently achieved, reducing both cost and Chrysler Transports impact on the environment.
