Photographer

I’ve always enjoyed photography, but didn’t start taking it seriously until the beginning of 2010 when I embarked on a 365 day project. I took one photo per day regardless of challenging circumstances, such as poor light and inclement weather, which pushed my range and creativity with the medium. Since I didn’t place any restrictions on subject matter my current portfolio is very broad, but that’s beginning to change.

Now I spend most of my time investigating the craft beer community. It often requires me to work in a more documentary mode, which I thoroughly enjoy. I attend festivals, beer dinners, visit breweries and occasionally shoot profiles of individual brewers. I love capturing fleeting moments, the atmosphere, personalities and trying to tell a story through pictures alone.

Most of this work appears on AllOverBeer.com and BayAreaCraftBeer.com, but I’ve had one photo published in the May 2011 issue of All About Beer and I’ve licensed photos to Fizz Word of Mouth Marketing. I’ve also licensed architectural work to the Marshal M. Fredericks Museum at Saginaw Valley State University.

A more thorough website documenting my portfolio is currently in the works, but for now you can see my work on the aforementioned websites and on my Flickr account.
