Every once and awhile I step outside my usual photographic interests. The power and emotion of concert photography is alluring. Add celebrity into the mix and it takes things up a notch. Most concert photographers are only able to shoot, in a controlled environment, for a duration of one or two songs and then they have to leave the photo pit in front of the stage. I had all night to capture Year of the Fist at the Uptown in Oakland in February of 2018.
